The Philosophy of Productive Insubordination
For more than two years we have teleworked to complete our assignments and provided value for our organizations
We have adjusted our personal life to make space for our work life in our home and with our families.
In that time we have gained appreciation and value for the new paradigm of work at home and ability to engage in activities with more time for ourselves.
A return to the office via mandate has lowered morale and pushed out members of our staff to leave for assignments with more flexibility and appreciation of the balance.
Time for commuting is time misspent and effectively wasted that could be used for other means both personally and professionally
Management does not have the same perspective of the different means and advantages that workers gain via telework and additional flexibilities.
We can and have spent more time working, and can continue to provide value, but doing so at a convience that is underappreciated.
